AME AirCraft AirCooled Glow Engines
These Russian Built, front intake, side exhaust engines all feature
an aluminum piston running in a nickel plated aluminum cylinder with
integral cooling fins. The Norvel models now feature an improved
head and special glow button, an effective silencer and a gravel--
strainer intake screen, but the spring starters shown in early photos
have been discontinued. The Zeus Model has a huge intake venturi
and is designed for pressure fuel systems. The Zeus model can draw
well (at reduced power) on suction fuel feed if the optional Intake
Restrictor is installed. The head supplied on the Zeus model will
accept standard 1/4 32 short glow plugs or any of the COX type
glow heads. All AME's mount identically to the Cox .049 Tee Dees.
